This 2 day course will review the knowledge, skills and objectives necessary for First Aid.
This will include CPR, resuscitation, bandaging, burns, and other First Aid issues. A copy of the latest edition of the First Aid at Work manual will be provided and the new certificate will be valid for three years.
Attendance is required on both dates.
Candidates can now requalify up to 28 days after the expiry but must produce their First Aid at Work certificate on the first day of the course as proof of eligibility (this has been extended throughout the Covid-19 pandemic)
Practitioners will:
- be up-to-date and confident in their ability to deal with First Aid situations as and when they arise at work
Those renewing their Health and Safety Regulations, First Aid at Work certificate
This course is comprised of a suite of pre-recorded presentations and a follow up webinar. Registered participants will be able to download a suite of pre-recorded presentations early in the 2024 Spring Term. It is recommended that schools then ensure senior leaders and all relevant members of staff have access to these presentations to ensure the school adopts a robust strategic approach to KS1 and KS2 statutory assessment and reporting processes. The suite of presentations will include the following:
- Statutory Assessment overview
- Assessment administration and maladministration
- Teacher assessment and moderation
- Data submission
- EYFS
- Statutory assessment updates since the publication of the suite of presentations
- A brief refresher on the key aspects schools should be considering prior to test administration and data submission
- A question and answer session
Pupils will:
- benefit from secure and robust assessment processes in their school
- gain an insight into the assessment requirements for 2023/2024
- be able to identify considerations and implications for their own school assessment arrangements
- be secure in their statutory assessment and reporting arrangements and processes for 2023/2024
