Dealing with Sexting Incidents

Description
This half day course will use the UKCCIS 2016 Sexting in Schools Guidance to support staff to feel more confident to deal specifically with sexting as an emerging issue for children, parents and professionals. It will enable staff to understand how to:
  • Respond to disclosures, record incidents and involve other agencies, including escalation to the police
  • Handle devices and imagery and risk assess situations
  • Involve parents and develop preventative education

  • Will benefit from increased staff confidence in managing online issues
  • Will be fully aware of how to keep themselves safe online
Staff:
  • Will have increased confidence in addressing this issue with children, young people and parents
  • Will help to develop an understanding of the risks of life on-line so that they can teach children how to keep themselves and others safe

  • Will benefit from having staff with up to date knowledge on e-safety issues, which they can share with parents and pupils
