**Understanding and supporting behaviour in a setting (Managing Challenging Behaviour)**
Description

The 3 hour training session includes an introduction to behaviour
theory, explores the links between children's feelings and
behaviour and provides practical tips and strategies to help stop
behaviours escalating. We will look at how children manage
overwhelming feelings and strategies to encourage self-regulation.

By the end of the training participants will be able to:
 Understand basic behavioural theory and how to use ABC’s to
identify triggers and consequences of children’s behaviour.
 Understand the links between children’s feelings and
behaviour
 Recognise the importance of co-regulation leading to self regulation
 To be confident in using a range of strategies to prevent
children’s behaviour escalating within a setting
