Solihull 2-Day Foundation training
2-Day Foundation training:
The aim of this training is to introduce practitioners to the Solihull Approach model with a focus on working with babies, young children, young people and their families. It includes:
- Baby brain development
- Sleeping
- Weaning
- Toileting
- Playing
- Emotional development
- Physical development
Participants will:
- Have a better understanding of the nationally and internationally recognised Solihull Approach model
- Understand more about how children and young people's brains work
- Participate in 'Embedding the Solihull Approach' monthly support sessions
- Understanding trauma
- Understanding attachment
- Understanding brain development
- Train the Trainer (to deliver the 2-Day Foundation course)
This training is for anyone working with babies or young children, young people, parents or families; for example:
- Children's Centre workers
- Health Visitors
- Family Support Workers
- Perinatal support services
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
- Family Courts
- Community Police
- Firefighters
- Education Practitioners
- Pastoral staff in schools
