New to Year 6: Understanding Statutory Assessments for Reading, Writing and Maths
This session will provide participants with a greater understanding of:
- the criteria for all 3 writing standards detailed in the STA KS2 Teacher Assessment Framework
- key considerations for maths and reading SATs papers
Pupils will:
- experience a range of engaging activities to support the development of reading, writing, and maths.
Staff will:
- be confident in delivering statutory curriculum requirements
Settings will:
- be confident in the accuracy of their statutory assessments
Teachers new to Year 6, or who have not previously been involved in statutory Year 6 assessment. Year 5 teachers are also welcome.
