Fire Safety Awareness & Warden training

The fire safety training courses are designed to raise standards of fire safety and awareness in the workplace, reducing the chance of business closure, damage and loss of life. Fire safety training is mandatory for employers to train employees in fire safety and awareness. It is also a requirement to comply with Article 21, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

A practical demonstration will take place, along with training, on how to use a fire extinguisher and will include fire warden duties.

At the conclusion of this course, delegates will:

  • recognise their responsibilities as part of your fire safety policy
  • improve upon fire awareness of the workplace and at home
  • identify fire hazards at work and appreciate the consequences of poor fire safety
  • have gained practical fire fighting skills
  • be aware of fire warden duties

This course would benefit any individuals in the workplace, building environments, public buildings, voluntary clubs, etc.

Those who have a designated role as part of your fire safety policy (such as nominated Fire Wardens/Marshals, department heads, managers, health & safety representatives and/or facilities management).

Restorative Approaches Facilitator Training 2025/2026
A Restorative Approach (RA) is inspired by the philosophy and practices of Restorative Justice, which puts repairing harm done to relationships and people at the heart of its response to conflict.

This Restorative Justice Council (RJC) approved course provides intensive, interactive facilitator training, focused on building an understanding of restorative ethos and developing effective facilitation skills which enable participants to facilitate safe and effective restorative processes in their setting.

This course is delivered by experienced restorative practitioners and aims to fully train individuals to facilitate restorative processes in a range of settings.

As with all Royal Greenwich restorative training, the focus is on the synthesis of effective practice alongside theoretical understanding.

After the facilitator course, participants receive a Royal Greenwich and RJC certificate and gain membership to our Restorative Practice network.  They can also go on to undertake the Restorative Approaches: Theory and Practice Level 5 programme - a course credit rated by the University of Greenwich and RJC, further developing skills in this area.

Pupils will:
  • develop essential life skills in conflict resolution, problem solving, and emotional literacy; helping them to understand how to positively repair relationships damaged through conflict
Practitioners will:
  • develop practical skills and knowledge, which they can apply to conflict situations in their work setting
  • complete an approved course and get the opportunity to apply for registration with the Restorative Justice Council
Settings will:
  • benefit from having staff with specialist skills and knowledge who can support an enhanced, conciliatory culture across the setting
All practitioners working in education, family support, community organisations, youth justice and beyond.
