These meetings aim to keep subject leaders up to date with national, regional and local priorities and initiatives in music and, in particular, the opportunities made available through the Royal Greenwich Music Service.
The meeting will also provide opportunities for subject leaders to share and discuss good practice with visiting professionals providing inspirational CPD sessions.

Practitioners will:
- be up to speed with current issues in music education
- learn how to improve provision at school and benefit from working with other schools
- be fully involved in the Royal Borough of Greenwich Music Service

Training is an essential part of good legionella management. Legionnaire's disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia which can affect anybody.
Organisations need to be sure that they meet the requirements of the revised ACoP L8: Legionnaire's disease: the control of legionella bacteria in water systems.

Our legionella awareness training provides essential information to enable good control and management of the risks that legionella can pose in domestic water systems.
By the end of the course delegates will have a better understanding of where legionella bacteria can be found and how to monitor and control the potential hazards. They will also be able to understand the source of the bacteria and how it affects their health. They will have improved knowledge of the legal responsibilities of preventing the bacteria and how to implement control measures to stop it returning.

This course has been specially designed to develop both the competence and confidence of delegates to conduct Risk Assessments within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
It is a highly interactive and stimulating with a mixture of key learning points, activities, video and group-based discussion to help ensure a valuable learning experience.

Employees will:
- understand your Health and Safety responsibilities within the Royal Borough of Greenwich
- understand the relationship between a hazard, risk and control measure
- understand the steps for a Risk Assessment.
- complete a Risk Assessment and apply risk control hierarchy in the control measures
- be familiar with internal procedures and the following documents:

- Review examples of risk

- Identify operational risks and complete a Risk Assessment

All employees who will undertake Risk Assessments.

The aim of this workshop is to provide delegates with an understanding of fire prevention, responses to fire in the workplace and how to correctly deal with them.
A practical demonstration will take place, along with training on how to use a fire extinguisher.

Delegates will:
- gain fire safety awareness of their surrounding environment
- understand fire prevention in the workplace
- learn correct responses in the event of fire
- gain practical fire fighting skills and fire extinguisher knowledge
- understand roles and responsibilities of the fire warden

This workshop is aimed at H&S representatives, department heads, managers or any designated personnel for this role.
