This course provides participants with all the knowledge, skills, and objectives necessary to act as First Aiders within the workplace.
The First Aid at Work certificate is awarded by the First Aid Industry Body in accordance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations and is valid for three years. A copy of the latest edition of a First Aid manual and delegate pack will be provided for each participant.
Attendance is required on all 3 dates.
Successful candidates will be awarded the HSE First Aid at Work certificate.
Practitioners will:
- be confident and prepared to deal with First Aid situations as and when they arise at work
All interested staff from all schools. This course is open to anyone wishing to train as a First Aider.
Candidates must be physically fit with the ability and temperament to undertake First Aid training

This course will provide attendees with the latest updates on current standardised tests, test procedures and reporting and provide an opportunity to discuss complex report profiles.
Pupils will:

Establishments will:
- develop experienced assessors of specific learning difficulties
Staff who have gained the OCR level 7 qualification ‘Assessing and Teaching Learners with Specific Learning Difficulties’
- consider the end of year 3 National Curriculum expectations for writing and mathematics through professional dialogue
- benchmark their pupil's work
- be able to identify any gaps in pupils' attainment or curriculum provision
- share examples and good practice with colleagues
- be enabled and supported to reach expectations appropriate to their ability and in line with similar pupils nationally
- benchmark their judgements with other schools against national standards
- be secure in their teacher assessment judgements for year 3 writing and mathematics
Dynamo Concise will provide the Level 3 course in partnership with Highfield (the awarding body). Their aim is to deliver top quality training services in Paediatric First Aid
The training consists of an online theory which participants will need to complete ahead of the day and the practical itself. The online theory will be sent in advance once you have booked on the course. Please note if you do not complete the online training ahead of the day, you will not be able to take part and will still be charged the full amount.
Please note due to limited numbers we can only allow one member of staff per setting to attend
- Aims and principles of first aid.
- Prevention of cross-infection during first aid procedures.
- Basic life support (CPR).
- Management of the unconscious casualty.
- Assessment and treatment of a casualty who is wounded, bleeding or shocked.
- How to deal with burns, poisoning and eye injuries.
- Assessment and treatment of common major and minor illnesses, including fractures, dislocation, head injuries, epilepsy and diabetes.
- Managing asthma attacks and choking.
- Legal aspects of first aid at work – record keeping and use of equipment
