This course will provide information about:
- the rationale for and overview of Access Arrangements
- a wide range of different types of Access Arrangements
- identifying pupil needs
- the process of applying for Access Arrangements and collating evidence
- what cognitive processing is and the demands of the secondary curriculum on pupils' cognitive processing skills
- best practice in implementing a whole school approach to Access Arrangements while keeping the child at the heart of the process
At the end of the session, you will be clear in:
- your understanding of the JCQ requirements
- when and for whom you will need to make reasonable adjustments
- how to organise pupils for Access Arrangements assessment
- knowing what evidence to collate when applying for Access Arrangements
- knowing what is needed for the JCQ inspection

- have staff who have a greater understanding of best practice in relation to autistic children, as well as the sensory difficulties they experience which can affect their ability to be included

This 2 day course will review the knowledge, skills and objectives necessary for First Aid.
This will include CPR, resuscitation, bandaging, burns, and other First Aid issues. A copy of the latest edition of the First Aid at Work manual will be provided and the new certificate will be valid for three years.
Attendance is required on both dates.
Candidates can now requalify up to 28 days after the expiry but must produce their First Aid at Work certificate on the first day of the course as proof of eligibility.
Practitioners will:
- be up-to-date and confident in their ability to deal with First Aid situations as and when they arise at work
Those renewing their Health and Safety Regulations, First Aid at Work certificate
This course provides participants with all the knowledge, skills, and objectives necessary to act as First Aiders within the workplace.
The First Aid at Work certificate is awarded by the First Aid Industry Body in accordance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations and is valid for three years. A copy of the latest edition of a First Aid manual and delegate pack will be provided for each participant.
Attendance is required on all 3 dates.
Successful candidates will be awarded the HSE First Aid at Work certificate.
Practitioners will:
- be confident and prepared to deal with First Aid situations as and when they arise at work
All interested staff from all schools. This course is open to anyone wishing to train as a First Aider.
Candidates must be physically fit with the ability and temperament to undertake First Aid training
