Disabled Children Social Work Team
This is a specialist social work team supporting children and young people with complex disabilities from 0-18.
The team undertake Child and Family Assessments to inform the personalised support plan drawn up to address the child's needs and outcomes. The team can offer advice, support and referrals to other services.
Referrals to this service are through the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), but there is a duty worker available every day to provide advice on 020 8921 2599.
Greenwich Community Directory - Advice
Disabled Children’s Occupational Therapy Team
The Occupational Therapy team work with children aged 0-18 years who have a permanent disability and difficulty completing day-to-day tasks at home and in the community.
Occupational Therapists will make recommendations about what changes can be made at home and what equipment may help. Aids and adaptations can be recommended to promote children’s independence and ensure their safety, as well as the safety of those providing care.
Referrals to this service should be made directly to the occupational therapy team via the duty line or by email at

Short Breaks Team
The short breaks team support eligible children and young people, aged 0-17, to access the short breaks core offer. Each eligible child or young person can access up to 100 hours of short break provision as part of the Greenwich core offer.
